The proclamation cited the library's outreach services, early‑literacy programs, staff development and digital‑inclusion efforts and noted the system ranks in the top 20% of public libraries in Texas. A library representative (introduced in the meeting) accepted the proclamation and thanked the council for the recognition. "This is the 3rd year in a row that we've received the award and so we're so grateful," the recipient said.
The council and city thanked library staff for their programs and community engagement.
