Library director and Friends of the Library outline author series, book sales and early‑literacy expansion

"The money that we have raised and donated to the library has served many purposes," Rosedahl said, listing past gifts for books, furnishings, copiers and author events.
Saba and Rosedahl highlighted recent program investments: the Friends funded a $70,000 author series in 2025 that brought nationally recognized authors to local venues, and the Friends are contributing $30,000 this year to launch the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Claire B. Mounts Library. Saba said the author series and backpacks of curated books increase community cultural offerings and early‑literacy supports; council members thanked the volunteers and applauded the partnership.
