The commission approved a conditional-use permit to allow an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) at 4129 Vintage Estates Court. Staff planner Paige Jackson presented the application and said the proposed ADU would be 576 square feet and conform to the supplementary regulations for ADUs.
A neighbor asked whether the ADU could become a rental. Jackson clarified that ADUs must be occupied by an immediate family member and are not permitted to be rented out. "For accessory dwelling units, they have to be occupied by an immediate family member. They are not allowed to be rented out at all," Jackson said. After limited discussion the commission voted to approve the conditional-use permit unanimously.
