Brownsburg council adopts parks strategic master plan with updated emergency and volunteer actions

Council adopted the Town of Brownsburg Parks Strategic Master Plan after staff incorporated council feedback to strengthen event and park emergency plans in partnership with EMS professionals.
Amber, parks staff, summarized capital project updates and volunteer opportunities and described the change: “Action 1.1.2 is update event and park emergency plans with town EMS professionals who ensure participant safety and up-to-date emergency response efforts,” she said. The change was added at the council’s request prior to the adoption motion.
Council members expressed support for the addition. Amber also flagged volunteer events (April 17–18) for playground painting and a larger Clean & Green partnership on April 25, and she encouraged volunteer recruitment. With a motion and second, the council approved Resolution 2026 adopting the strategic master plan by voice vote.
