Council voted to adopt the Parks Strategic Master Plan (resolution 2026‑04) after a presentation by Amber Lane.
Lane told council that lead times for treated beams delayed repairs to the White Lick Creek boardwalk and promoted upcoming volunteer opportunities for playground painting on April 17–18 and the town’s Clean & Green activities. In response to council feedback, staff added Action 1.1.02 to update park emergency plans with town EMS professionals to improve participant safety. The resolution was moved and adopted by voice vote.
Lane also reminded the public of volunteer recruitment and the May 30 disposal event at Brownsburg East Middle School. Council members praised the additions and accepted the plan for implementation by the parks department.
