Commission Approves Rezoning and Lot Split for Ohio Street Property

The Planning Commission approved RZ 26-06 and PL 26-08 for a John Danler property at 14790 SW Ohio Street Road, north of SW 150th Street in Augusta. Staff said rezoning from AG‑80 to Rural Residential (RR) would permit a 5.1+/- acre lot to be sold to the owner’s son and leave roughly 5 acres to be combined with a neighboring parcel; rural water exists in the area and the existing home currently uses a lagoon for wastewater.
Gerald Dixon of Goedecke Surveying represented the owner and had no additional comment. Commissioners had no questions and the motions to approve both the rezoning and the lot split passed 5-0.
