The Butler County Planning Commission unanimously approved PL 26-10, the final plat for Hurley Farms, creating four lots from a roughly 40+/- acre RE‑zoned tract east of SW County Line Road on SW 160th Street. The plat includes one lot of about 16.64 acres and three lots of roughly 7 acres, a 70‑foot internal roadway, drainage and utility easements, and private wastewater systems for the lots, the staff report said.
Joe Hutchinson of BHC Surveying represented the owner and told commissioners the layout was intended to keep density lower and preserve more open land. The County Engineer reviewed and approved the drainage plan; Butler Rural Electric will provide electricity. The commission approved the plat 5-0; Varner said this case, like other plats acted on tonight, will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners on April 28 at 9:00 a.m.
