The DeSoto Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved zoning case SP69926 on March 24, forwarding the site‑plan restatement for Lot 1, Block A, South Meadows Office Park No. 3 (approximately 0.8609 acres at 400 East Pleasant Run Road).
Staff explained that Plan Development 58 requires site‑plan approval at a public hearing prior to building permits and that the proposed office center is compatible with the 2024 comprehensive plan’s Neighborhood Mixed Use designation. Applicants Ngozi and Ike Nwosu said they purchased the lot to build an environmentally friendly, owner‑occupied office to expand Frontier Express Mail (Zaker Enterprise) and described long family ties to DeSoto. Ngozi Nwosu said the project will serve local customers and create a stable small‑business presence: “This development is yet another opportunity to serve the needs of the community and bring attention to the connections and resources that improve our environment and quality of life in DeSoto.”
Felicia Wainsey, a family member and supporter, spoke in favor and asked the commission to approve the case. A motion to approve the case as presented passed without opposition; staff congratulated the applicants and noted the site‑plan requirement under PD58 that triggers the public hearing requirement.
