AZ Motors owner asks for facade help; EDC asks for packaged quotes and tables the request

Roger James, owner of AZ Motors at 218 West Plantation Drive, told the EDC he has invested in lighting, cameras and other improvements and is seeking facade program assistance. Staff and members explained the grant program requires work to be packaged properly (facade, signage, fencing separately) and that roofing is not an eligible facade item.
James said he paid just over $22,000 for roof work and that he had at least one quote for signage and other items. "It was 22,000 little bit over $22,000 for the roof," James said. Board members asked him to bring a complete package with two or three quotes, receipts and photos; the board voted to table the application until that documentation is submitted.
