Michelle Robinson introduced as newest Type B director; board members welcome her

President Johnson introduced Michelle Robinson as the newest Type B director and invited her to speak to the board. Robinson said she has lived in Cedar Park for 20 years, has two high-school-aged sons who use many city amenities and that she served a little over 20 years in the U.S. Army before moving into a civilian role as an HR specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
"My name is Michelle Robinson. I'm truly honored to be on board. I've lived in Cedar Park for 20 years now," Robinson said, describing her family’s connection to local facilities and her community service. Board members welcomed Robinson and exchanged brief remarks about the board and upcoming work. Robinson said she is familiar with city amenities, that one son uses the rec center several nights a week, and that she looks forward to serving the community on the Type B board.
The introductions closed with staff and board members noting upcoming budget items and next steps; Robinson will participate in Type B reviews and subcommittee work as assigned.
