During the FY26 budget presentation, Bridal Solis recapped the projects the Type B board approved in the FY26 budget process. She said the board-approved projects totaled $10,600,000: approximately $5,600,000 earmarked for community and mobility enhancement projects and $5,000,000 for an arts collective design.
Solis explained that staff often front-fund project allocations into CIP accounts rather than recording project spending quarter-by-quarter because projects occur at different times of the year. "Transformational projects and community and mobility enhancements, those are a 100% spent," she said, describing an accounting timing decision to move funds into CIP as projects proceed. The presentation included a breakdown of Type B sales-tax collections by industry and a 10-year chart of receipts since the fund’s inception.
The recap will frame how staff and the board prioritize project scheduling and future quarterly reconciliations; staff said returned savings from project underruns are moved back into the appropriate fund and reported in quarterly updates.
