Cedar Hill receives clean audit; council accepts annual comprehensive financial report

Audit partner Rachel Armsby and audit manager Megan Holyfield presented the city's annual comprehensive financial report and single audit, reporting that the city received clean, unmodified opinions on its financial statements, internal control over financial reporting, and compliance audit.
"We are proud to let you all know that the city did receive clean unmodified opinions," Armsby said, noting the city's timely submission and no audit findings identified during the review. Council members praised finance staff and auditors for producing the report three weeks earlier than the prior year and completing an ERP conversion concurrently.
Council member Daniel Hayden moved to accept the annual comprehensive financial audit for the fiscal period ending 09/30/2025. The motion received a second and passed unanimously. Council indicated the new audit committee appointees will participate in pre-audit engagement moving forward.
