City staff told council that the city will receive playground equipment for Rishel Park through a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and that the equipment likely will arrive around September. Staff described site preparation work that includes creating a 39-by-26-foot, 12-inch-deep installation area and noted new fencing for the pickleball courts is also planned.
Council members and staff thanked Rotary and council volunteers for helping resolve a flooding issue at the green and for assisting with acquiring new chairs at Fair Park. Staff said the new playground equipment is part of a grant and that final delivery timing was estimated by the grantor.
