Canfield City Council moved to declare a 2016 F-350 pickup truck and approximately 100 Fair Park chairs surplus and authorized the city to dispose of them by posting them on the city's auction website. The motion to dispense with the Charter's two-reading requirement and to read the ordinance by title only was offered and seconded, and the council recorded affirmative responses during roll call.
City staff described the truck as well used with a damaged bed and said it had been replaced by a new vehicle delivered last week. The chairs were described as being replaced at Fair Park; staff said the items would be listed for sale on the city's website. The ordinance was introduced under the Charter of the City of Canfield, section 4.05, and council members answered "Yes" when the clerk called the roll to record disposition.
