For special education nonresidents, the proposed out‑of‑county rate is $38,151 and the out‑of‑state rate $62,003.19. Jewett explained the special education rate reflects the higher per‑student costs of intensive supports. Board members asked for comparisons to other counties and the CFO agreed to provide additional benchmarking data.
