Staff said the group was the only nomination received and that past winners have included volunteers from local churches; the award package will include a place of honor on the city plaque, a gift package of about $250 worth of local-restaurant items, and a presentation at the January 27 meeting if the group can attend. A councilor moved to grant the award and the motion carried by voice vote.
