Board members and staff emphasized that the budget maintains commitments to employee agreements, step increases and cost-of-living adjustments, and policies intended to preserve small class sizes. The budget document also supports 2,126.4 full-time-equivalent positions and continued funding for special-education, career-readiness programs, and planned capital projects such as Northern Middle School construction and HVAC upgrades. The board approved the budget after staff noted a small state-aid adjustment and the county's adopted appropriation.
