Retiree voices urge more transparency after CCPS moves retirees onto Medicare Advantage PPO

Estenso told the board: "When you remove choice, limit transparency, and exclude the very people most impacted, that is not a benefit. That is a decision made for them, not with them." She framed the issue as one of trust for longtime educators who expected certain retiree benefits after decades of service and urged the district to improve communication and inclusion of retirees in decisions that affect benefits.
Board members thanked her for commenting and noted the district has opened survey outreach and will follow up where appropriate, including through administrative channels for written comments and contact information collection.
