Council approves Ordinance No. 2451 to vacate small Midpark Lane right‑of‑way

Reagan Rothenberger, the city's director of planning and economic development, presented Ordinance No. 2451 seeking to vacate a 2,569‑square‑foot portion of Midpark Lane at its western terminus. Rothenberger said the area was originally dedicated for a future extension that was not realized and that the applicant constructing a home at 400 Hideaway Court requested the abandonment to incorporate the strip into the parent lot; staff recommended approval and noted existing easements would remain.
Councilmember Price moved to approve the ordinance on first and final reading; Councilmember Eads seconded and the council voted to approve the motion. "So this is considering for the vacation and abandoning of a 2,569 foot square foot portion of a right of way," Rothenberger said during the presentation.
