Rati Singh presented the two applications: Sheffield Meadows (request ~ $4,700) to remove 13 dead trees at neighborhood entrances and replant seven dogwoods and 11 flowering shrubs, and Village at Tuttle Crossing (request ~ $622) to enhance the condo association-maintained entry with perennials and evergreens. Singh noted the program's annual budget is $32,000 and that the spring grant requests total about $5,400, leaving approximately $26,600 for fall applications.
Katie Brown, co‑president of Sheffield Meadows, spoke in support: "We have a lot of dead trees, very high traffic area... we can't exactly do the 1 to 1 ratio that Dublin looks for, but we've come up with a good plan," she said. Staff also answered council questions about how under‑ or overages are handled: underages result in grant proportion paid; overages are not covered beyond the approved grant amount and unused program funds do not carry forward to the next year.
Council approved the spring grant requests by roll call. Staff will coordinate next steps with applicants.
