Council approves two collective bargaining agreements for police and public works units

Jennifer Maglietti summarized Resolution 18-26, which authorizes the city manager to enter into a 2026–2028 agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 9; she said the agreement was ratified by members of the bargaining unit on April 8. She then presented Resolution 19-26 for a 2026–2028 agreement with the United Steelworkers covering maintenance workers, fleet technicians and custodial staff; that agreement was ratified by the bargaining unit on March 30.
Maglietti noted that financial impacts are detailed in the memo to council and that staff recommends approval of both resolutions. After brief questions and no public comment, council approved both resolutions by roll call.
