Dickinson officials say FY2025 audit completed on time for first time in eight years

The city manager announced that the City of Dickinson has completed its fiscal year 2025 financial audit on time, a milestone the manager said the city has not met in eight years. "For the first time in eight years, the city of Dickinson has finished its audit and completed on time," the city manager said, and officials confirmed the draft will be filed with the city secretary ahead of the state deadline.

Council members praised staff and the finance director for the timely completion and were told Brooks Watson will present the audit findings at the council's second April meeting. The city manager said the timely audit reflects "a renewed culture of accountability and professionalism," and council members recommended staff make the final filing by the statutory deadline (the manager said the draft will be filed and finalized by March 27).
