DeSoto honors administrative professionals, assistant principals and three community champions

Mayor Rachel L. Proctor and council honored administrative professionals and assistant principals with proclamations and recognized three community champions for volunteer service. Councilmember Andre Byrd Sr. read the Administrative Professionals Day proclamation and presented challenge coins to honorees; Anesa Davis Ross, representing administrative staff, thanked the mayor and council for the recognition.
Mayor Proctor and Councilmember Leticia Hughes also presented recognition for assistant principals; Dr. Cora Garner accepted the proclamation on behalf of her colleagues. The mayor presented community-champion awards to Paula Glenn (volunteer and 2026 Miss Texas Senior America Mary Hansen Community Service Award recipient), Chuck Burch (founder of the Chuck Burch Scholarship Fund) and Rosa Elva Hernandez (educator and community volunteer); each recipient offered remarks of thanks.
