Staff provided an update on the Hampton Road redevelopment RFQ, saying the solicitation closed Feb. 6 and drew seven proposals. The team has scheduled interviews with all seven proposer teams on March 23 (and March 26 for a second block) and hopes to present a selection or recommendation during the week of March 30.
Staff described the interview panel composition (including a financial advisor and a real-estate attorney) and said the selection will consider capacity and financial capability; traffic studies are not part of the current presentations. "We closed on February 6. We did receive 7 proposals," staff said, adding that the panel will interview proposers and aims to share results at the DDC meeting in April.
Ending: Board expected a results update at the next DDC meeting in April; staff will return with interview outcomes and selection rationale.
