Tammy Parrot, director of library services, told commissioners the county's 16 library locations circulated approximately 1.6 million items last year and recorded nearly 82,000 library cardholders. "93% of people that came in the library... found what they were looking for," Parrot said, citing customer service survey metrics and a high net promoter score.
Parrot outlined system metrics: roughly 1,300,000 checkouts, about 1,000,000 visits and hundreds of thousands of computer and Wi‑Fi sessions. She said state aid is budgeted over multiple years and that the system aims to use E‑rate consultant savings and cooperative member appropriations to absorb operational adjustments. The proposed FY2027 budget includes a 7.2% staffing change and a $63,000 capital outlay for an anticipated vehicle.
Commissioners commended the libraries' high usage and community programming. Parrot stood for questions and said staff would return with any requested follow‑up data; no formal action was taken.
