Cedar Park selects Lone Star Paving for major and neighborhood resurfacing projects totaling over $3.6M

Jessica Kent, senior engineer, presented the major road resurfacing scope and funding (2022 bond and 2025 certificates of obligation), which covers mill and overlay on Anderson Mill Road, Cypress Creek Road, West Park Street and segments of Lakeline Boulevard; staff recommended a contract not to exceed $1,403,910 and noted construction will be scheduled during summer recess to limit school impacts.
Morgan Huddleston presented the neighborhood resurfacing project (Buttercup Creek Parkway, Park West Estates and other streets). That contract was recommended at an amount not to exceed $2,210,484, and council approved both resolutions unanimously. Staff discussed coordination with utilities and noted pre‑pave inspections and leak detection are performed to reduce the likelihood of reopening newly paved surfaces.
