The council recognized Mike Huber for 10 years with the City of Cedar Park, highlighting his work in water and wastewater systems and his leadership on major capital projects. Mary Cross Schubert, director of public works and utilities, listed Huber’s technical background, including degrees in geophysics and civil engineering and professional engineering licenses, and said he has been involved in more than $220 million of capital improvement projects.
“Over the past decade, Mike has been a steady presence bringing experience, sound judgment, clear focus, and delivering reliable utility services,” Schubert said. Huber, who accepted thanks from the council and his colleagues, credited his team and managers and described the work as a collaborative effort with utility operators and engineering staff.
