The council moved a slate of committee referrals across executive, finance and personnel, public works and public safety committees. The mayor announced Item 0609-26 (authorization to enter an agreement with Leopold Johnson Golf Group) and Alder Harmon moved a set of Public Works referrals that included a professional-services agreement with Strand Associations for Frederick Street reconstruction "not to exceed the amount of $7,076,000." The council also received and filed bid results and final-payment recommendations (for example, a final payment acceptance and authorization for a parking-lot addition totaling $209,554.39 and a corrected contract award amount of $209,298.25 were listed on the agenda).
Alder Pete moved a package of licensing and "formal expression of concern" items to Public Safety & Licensing (including new beverage and massage-therapy license applications); the referrals were approved and most items were placed on the consent agenda. Alder Jorgensen moved approval of the consent agenda and the body approved it by voice vote.
