Director Miss James presented the Benbrook Economic Development Corporation's monthly financial report for the period ending March 31, 2026, saying, "For the month of March, the board did receive your 0.5¢ sales tax revenue of $176,542.35." She said calendar-year collections stood at $669,776.38 and identified the checking account balance as $3,090,781.46 and the tax-pool account balance as $4,313,058.44.
Miss James itemized additional March revenue and expenditures: interest and other receipts of $18,139.59, a franchise payment of $13.43 and rental income of $150, bringing reported March revenue to $196,175.54; total operating expenses for March were $30,992.69. She reported pending-project encumbrances of $785,889.79 and stated the total encumbered funds for March were $816,883.48. The director reported the total fund balance for March as $6,000,586.09; the transcript contains an unclear trailing figure immediately after that amount ("56.42"), which appears to be a transcription artifact and is not interpreted as an additional separate line item.
The board did not ask follow-up questions after the presentation. The director offered to answer questions but none were raised on the record.
