The motion to adopt the resolution was moved and seconded; roll call recorded affirmative votes from Cypress, Greenwood, Havens, Mayor Hoke, Wright and Schweller. Councilman Logan Ashley recused from the vote. The motion carried and the council approved the manager’s authorization to finalize the 2026 festival agreement.
Council members spoke in support of the festival, saying it has grown and been successful under the existing model and that the city should continue to support it. No amendments to the resolution were made at the meeting.
