At the close of the meeting staff updated commissioners on items expected on future agendas in April. A staff member said the city will initiate a rezoning to change the zoning of the parcel designated for a proposed public-safety building from mixed-use town center to public use to allow the project to proceed. Separately, staff said a site-plan application with an associated waiver is under review and should be scheduled for the commission, and fee-schedule changes will also be brought to the body in April.
Staff did not provide detailed project budgets or timelines at the meeting and flagged that they will continue to coordinate internally and with applicants before formal packets are distributed to the commission.
