The Bedford Planning and Zoning Commission on May 14 voted unanimously to approve a site plan for a restaurant with a drive-through at 312 North Industrial Boulevard, a parcel in the Market Gateway development identified as Case Site-26-1. Committee member (S2) made the motion to approve and the chair announced the motion passed unanimously.
Planning staff presented the plan and recommended approval. "Site plan meets all the requirements of the zoning ordinance and the master highway corridor overlay, and staff recommends approval," said Wes Westmore, planning staff. The staff presentation noted the site lies in a heavy-commercial district with a Master Highway 0.25 overlay, described required landscape buffers, building elevations using earth tones, tree preservation in the buffer yard, and internal access via mutual access easements. The commission’s approval followed commissioner questions about circulation and operation, including confirmation that the use is a restaurant with indoor seating that also has a drive-through.
