Books & Bees festival set for April 11; evening author event April 10

Gretchen told the council the 5th annual Books & Bees Festival will be held Saturday, April 11 from 1 to 5 p.m. on the city lawn, with a free family event featuring 15 authors, a concert, a nature tent with honey tasting and programming by local nature educators. She also promoted an evening with the author event on Friday, April 10 featuring Lisa Wingate in conversation with Sara Bird at 3rd Coast Bank (formerly Keystone Bank).
Gretchen thanked sponsors including 3rd Coast Bank, Cesium Astro, Next Level Urgent Care, Primrose Schools, Hill Country Galleria, Sonesta and the Friends of the Bee Cave Library. She encouraged council and the community to RSVP via booksandbeesfestival.com or by emailing the staff contact.
The event is free; organizers said they appreciate volunteer support and city staff involvement for logistics and safety. No council action was required for the announcement.
