City staff updated the board on Brown Trail, a full reconstruction that will include sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. "It is currently under design and it's about 60 to 80% [complete]," City Engineer Mara Quad said, and she reported an approximate construction cost of $6,020,551.
Quad said staff still must finalize a few design items and obtain pedestrian easements in areas where the right of way does not already provide sidewalk space; the department anticipates actual construction could take about one to two years depending on final design and easement acquisition.
