ADEM: comment period open through July 31; final decision after review of record

The hearing officer, Mary Frank Brown, reminded attendees that oral testimony and written comments will be included in the hearing record and that written comments submitted by postal or electronic mail will be treated the same as in-person testimony. She announced that the public comment period will end at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 2025-07-31, and directed that all comments must be received at ADEM's Montgomery office by that time.
Brown said ADEM will consider all oral and written comments before making its determination on the proposed permit action and will prepare written responses to relevant comments. The department also said the hearing is being transcribed and the hearing record, final permit decision, and responses to comments will be posted to ADEM’s e-file system once complete.
