Library introduces new Central staff: Nicole Burton and Liz Kwan

The library director introduced two new Central Library team members: Nicole Burton, an adult-services librarian who said she has worked in and out of public libraries since 2018 and across adults, children and teen services; and Liz Kwan, identified by staff as a senior librarian for circulation and collections.
Nicole told the board she has experience in cataloging and multiple departments and that Garland is her favorite place to work. Liz was described as a Garland native and a senior-staff hire who will support collections and circulation at Central. The board welcomed both and the director said staff will support tours and onboarding as Central and West work moves forward.
