PNZ approves preliminary plat for Fox Hollow Commercial Plaza addition

The Forney Planning and Zoning Commission approved a preliminary plat for the Fox Hollow Commercial Plaza addition, a 7.742-acre site north of FM 741 and west of Monitor (Monterrey) Boulevard that proposes seven nonresidential lots. Staff reported the plat meets subdivision requirements under the Texas Local Government Code and recommended approval.
"Staff review does find that the plat does meet the subdivision requirements established by Texas local government code and so staff does recommend approval," Beatty said when presenting the proposal. Commissioners noted prior approvals in the area including recent commercial site plans and a restaurant site plan expected next month.
A commissioner moved to approve the preliminary plat, the motion was seconded, and the chair called a voice vote. "Motion carries," the chair announced. The approval allows the applicant to proceed to subsequent site-plan and permitting steps under local subdivision rules.
