The Forney City Commission approved a replat for Forney High School at 1800 College Avenue to dedicate easements necessary for planned facility expansion. Staff said the replat consists of one lot totaling 70 acres and complies with the city's zoning and subdivision ordinances.
When asked what the replat would accommodate, staff listed the 9th-grade center, a Welding Center and changes to the stadium. "The 9th grade center, the, I think the Welding Center, and then the, in addition there's been some changes to the stadium, I believe," the presenter said. Following staff recommendation, the commission moved, seconded and approved the replat by voice vote.
The approval dedicates the easements shown on the replat to allow the school district to proceed with facility expansion planning and subsequent permits.
