The mayor moved the item down the agenda to allow Councilmember Lightfoot to read the draft and to allow the city attorney to prepare an alternate draft. After executive session and returning to open session, the council voted to approve Resolution R‑08‑26 as written on a 6–0 roll call.
Council indicated they may return with modifications or additional language addressing social media or other best-practice civic‑dignity language in a future meeting.
