Council denies Eleknor Belco claim, authorizes contract completion and approves property acquisition after executive session

The council then authorized the city manager to negotiate and execute an amendment to Eleknor Belco's contract to allow a completion contractor to finish the work on terms discussed in executive session; that motion also passed unanimously. Finally, council approved Resolution R2026-067 to authorize the acquisition of real-property interests needed for the County Road 132 realignment project (CIP T401-25, parcel 2), authorizing the city manager to execute the purchase and related agreements on the terms discussed in executive session. All three motions passed 5-0 with no recorded dissents.
