During public comment, a resident representing Families to Freedom told the council the nonprofit provides free transportation and supportive services to local residents and partner agencies.
The speaker said the organization has provided rides from local stores and noted membership in regional anti-trafficking coalitions. “We provide free transportation. So it's cars, vans, bus, plane,” the resident said, and asked whether the city has an advisory council where the group could have representation to better coordinate services.
The Chair thanked the speaker for sharing information and reminded the public that state law limits council response during the public comment period. The council did not take action on the request at the meeting; follow-up would occur through staff if appropriate.
