"I'm Lauren Snyder, manager of the Senior Activity Center," she said, then outlined events: "We will be kicking off the month with Stars and Stripes at Hurst Community Park on July 3. Gates open at 05:30, and the live music begins at 06:15...fireworks show starting at 09:30." Staff at the Recreation and Senior Activity centers will distribute printed calendars with full details. A parks-and-rec staff member in the video described the department's mission: "We get to be a part of a group that kind of brings...connection and hope to the community."
