The Hurst City Council authorized a contract not to exceed $44,500 with Dunaway Associates LLC for construction document services to design a family of gateway monument signs. Kyle, the staff presenter, said the contract covers detailed construction documents, bidding support and some construction administration; Adam Brewster of Dunaway described four sign types using limestone, corduroy (sawn) stone banding, and stainless/brushed-steel lettering to carry the city’s brand imagery.
Adam described materials and lighting treatments for medians and larger entrance signs and said the work is intended to age well and require low maintenance. The council approved the authorization after a motion to award the contract was seconded and carried. Staff said phasing will prioritize redevelopment corridors and locations with upcoming right-of-way work.
