Council approves easement sale to Trinity River Authority for Walker Branch sewer work

Council approved Resolution 19-11 authorizing the city manager to convey an easement to the Trinity River Authority of Texas for work on the Walker Branch sewer project (Phase 5). Public Works Director Robert Saceda explained the line is one of the city's two major sanitary sewer outfalls and that the easement will allow Trinity River Authority to bring equipment and materials onto city property to complete design and construction activities.
A council member asked whether the city was selling the easement at market price; Saceda confirmed the city is receiving market compensation and payment for the temporary construction easement. The motion carried by voice vote.
