The Hidalgo County Commissioners Court approved multiple purchasing items presented by the county purchasing department, including authority to negotiate and finalize contracts and to execute a $1,000,401.16 construction agreement with Synergy Development & Construction for a remodel of the Hidalgo County Veterans Services office. Purchasing staff said the contract award follows evaluation committee rankings and recommended the highest‑scoring respondent.
The court also approved purchases for 22 portable radios ($176,268.94), 60 laptops ($149,437.80) through state DIR cooperative pricing, and directed purchasing to negotiate an agreement with Clinical Pathology Labs for lab services. Ignacio Mescal of purchasing summarized the procurement recommendations and the motions carried by voice vote.
