In a series of consent and procurement votes, the Hays County Commissioner's Court authorized multiple contracts and budget amendments on April 28.
The court approved a service and support agreement with Appraisal and Collection Technology LLC for the county's property tax collection software, noting $50,000 for implementation costs and $75,000 annually for maintenance. The court also awarded IFB2026-B02 for the Bear Creek low-water crossing to EZ Veil Construction LLC at $1,112,417, and authorized Facilities and Resource Management to replace the rooftop HVAC unit (RTU No. 5) at the Government Center for $53,850. The juvenile center accepted a Texas Department of Agriculture NSLP equipment grant totaling $25,082 to purchase two refrigerators and two steamers.
County staff and attorneys explained that legal and IT reviews were complete for the software agreement and that engineering and procurement processes had followed required procurement rules or waivers where specified. The court approved the listed items by roll call votes.
