Finance Director Sherry Roberts told the council that the original ILA required expenditures by April 30, 2026. “This amendment is doing is extending it for another year until 04/30/2027,” Roberts said and reported that about $401,256 remains in the fund, which has been used for the East Bear Creek Road expansion and is drawn on by submitting invoices for reimbursement.
Council members confirmed the funds are reimbursable rather than paid upfront; Roberts reiterated that the city must submit eligible expenses to receive reimbursement and that failing to approve the amendment would forfeit access to the remaining funds.
After brief questions, Pro Tem Bruton moved to approve resolution R‑14‑26 and the motion passed unanimously (vote recorded 6–0). The council’s approval preserves the city’s access to the transportation reimbursement funds through April 30, 2027 and allows staff to continue submitting eligible invoices for the East Bear Creek project.
