City of Lakeway receives Film Friendly Texas certification

“We want to thank Jared Wise and the City of Lakeway for all of his work and coordination in this process,” Habeker said, describing the statewide Film Friendly network and the economic benefits of media production spending.
The certificate recognizes Lakeway’s capacity to host on-location filming and to connect productions with local goods and services. Council credited city staff and zoning commissioner Josh Cobb for facilitating the certification.
The commission’s remarks noted statewide incentives and estimated economic impact from 2007–2025 tied to film incentives; the city did not announce an immediate production but said the certification will help market signature locations within Lakeway.
