Lakeway welcomes four new police officers

Lakeway Police Chief Cohen introduced the city’s four newest officers during the April 20 council meeting, detailing each recruit’s background and reason for joining the department.
“Officer Carr is known for being very committed,” Chief Cohen said as he presented the recruits, noting one applicant made a personal change to pursue law enforcement. The chief described Joshua Clemens’ Navy and school-district experience, Dakota Littrell’s local roots and interest in engineering, and Elroy Trevino’s military service in the Air Force.
Mayor Thomas Kilgore and council members welcomed the officers and invited family and friends to pin badges in a short recognition ceremony. No policy actions or votes were required for the personnel introductions.
The introductions were part of a larger recognition segment that also included city awards and proclamations. The police department said the new officers will join patrol and specialty assignments as staffing needs dictate.
