Lakeway swears in three new council members as mayor pro tem reappointed

At its May 18 meeting Lakeway council administered oaths to newly elected members, briefly recessed to finalize paperwork, and reappointed the mayor pro tem for another year.
Mayor Thomas Kilgore opened the May 18 meeting by administering the oaths of office to newly elected council members and briefly recessing so paperwork could be completed. "Now, therefore, I, Thomas Kilgore, mayor of the city of Lakeway, do hereby designate..." he said during the ceremonial portion of the meeting.
After the ceremony the council reconvened with a full six‑member dais. Kilgore proposed keeping Councilmember Mastro Angelo as mayor pro tem for a second consecutive year; Councilmember Logan Brown seconded the nomination and the council approved the appointment in a recorded voice vote. The council then proceeded into regular business.
